Mindfulness practice is taught to children, and its effectiveness is virtuous because they are open and not judgmental.

Slowing your thoughts helps you see more clearly, have a laser focus, and decrease anxiety.

Taking a deep breath can help you begin and alleviate anxiety by slowing the central nervous system down.

Mind-wandering is widespread with studies suggesting it makes up nearly half of our waking lives.

Self-awareness is essential to growth and learning to look at your feelings, emotions, and thoughts.

TIPS FOR MINDFULNESS PRACTICE

Acknowledging your surroundings and being aware of what is in y

Being present in the moment allows you to interpret your thoughts and emotions; however, if your mind is distracted, bring it back to the breath.

Using breathing exercises such as the three-minute breathing can motivate you when you are stressed.

Practicing breathing throughout your day, even when you are not sitting, allows you to remain calmer in stressful situations

Take walks in nature and become self-aware of the sights and sounds of the birds.

Listen to the sights and sounds, and use the five senses: hearing, smelling, tasting, touching, and seeing.
